It was expected and totally fair. Nick Calathes and Kostas Sloukas made the Euroleague best starting five for the 2018-19 season and this distinction is the best affirmation for the excellent season they have had.
Nick Calathes was awarded a spot in the best starting five of the competition for the second consecutive season, having made outstanding performances during the regular season and the playoffs, and having been the March MVP. Among Calathes’ achievements is also the triple double he scored in the last game of the regular season, which is only the third one achieved in Euroleague history.
Kostas Sloukas has had a decisive contribution in Fenerbahce’s qualification to the F4, following his great season in leading the game for the Turkish team. Kostas Sloukas has already won the Euroleague title three times and is going to Vitoria to seek a fourth crown.
