GLYNIADAKIS JOINS RETHYMNO

Andreas Glyniadakis returns to his native island, joining Rethymno Cretan Kings. The 37 year old center, who was born in the Cretan city of Chania, will be playing for Rethymno during the 2018-19 season, continuing a unique career. Glyniadakis has already played for 17 different clubs during his career, 9 of which are Greek teams (Panathinaikos, Panellinios, Peristeri, AEK, Maroussi, Olympiacos, Nea Kifisia, PAOK, Kimi), while the remaining 8 teams are based in 6 different countries (Roanoke Dazzle, Albuquerque Thunderbirds, Seattle Supersonics, Virtus Bologna, Astana, Lietuvos Rytas, APOEL, Gaziantep, Lions de Geneve)! Glyniadakis has also played in the NBA for the Seattle Supersonics (having been drafted at no 58 by the Detroit Pistons in 2003).
